What equipment will be installed by SwoopFiber technicians?

SwoopFiber technicians will install the following equipment during the installation process:


  1. Optical Network Terminal (ONT) - Typically a Gigapoint GX1100: The ONT is a key component that converts fiber optic signals into internet signals compatible with your devices. It is installed inside your home or office.
  2. Power Supply for ONT: A power supply unit is provided to ensure the ONT receives the necessary power for operation.
  3. Residential Gateway/Router - Typically a Gigaspire Blast: SwoopFiber will provide a router to manage the internet connection. The router facilitates the distribution of internet signals to multiple devices within your home or office.
  4. Fiber Optic Cabling: Fiber optic cables are installed to establish the connection between the network access point and the ONT inside your premises.
  5. Booster: Some installations may include a booster/extender for large spaces.
