What is the WPA3 security type in the CommandIQ app?

  • Calix has recently added the WPA3 security type for all GigaSpires. Customers can use the security type in CommandIQ for newer devices that support WPA3. 
  • WPA-3 Personal is added to provide stronger password protection. Many newer devices support WPA3. WPA3 is backward compatible with WPA2 devices.
  • If WPA3-Personal is selected for the Primary SSID, devices cannot connect using WPS.
